(#42/100 North Carolina county highpoints)

On the way to the Outer Banks for our family beach vacation we detoured up Highway 58 north of Nashville—that’s Nashville, North Carolina, of course.

The highpoint looked to be that big tree in the Winstead’s front yard, but we didn’t trespass, just admired it from the road.
The neighbor across the highway was flying his colors high, as well.

A pretty flower was growing along the roadside.

Cat’s Ear is a Eurasian plant that has emigrated worldwide. Also called Flatweed or False Dandelion, its young leaves are edible and not even bitter.

Good to know for hard times!

I’m sure I’ve seen that flower. It’s lankier than a dandelion. This post must mean, that you continue to improve with the Bell’s palsy, Mary!
