Birding with Bell’s–Finding what works

I was discouraged by the first birding attempt.

It was okay, but not comfortable, and I struggled with my optics. So I set birding outings aside for a couple of weeks and practiced on the feeder birds. . .

…and other backyard visitors.

Then, later in June we had a terrific week with all the family in Corolla, North Carolina.

There was a nearby park with lots of habitat, so I gave the birding and photography another try.

NO eyepatch–just eye drops.

And it worked!

For about 90 minutes I went without a patch outdoors, without much ill effect.

I’m glad we’ve figured out a way to enjoy our past-time again while we wait for full recovery.

And we have begun to see some healing! This is me, being able to close my right eye…just a little bit!

My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD.

Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

  1. Small progress, with your eye, and with birding without an eye patch!
Yes, be noisy with joy, like a blackbird!
